On Blockchain implementation possibilities in Gaming…
(in no particular order 😉)
- Digital Assets / Items ownership
- Cross-game functionalities
- In-game items value
- Payment system
- Player voting platform
1.   Digital Assets / Items ownership
- Any item/asset (character, object, skin…) can be truly owned by specific player and the proof of this can be easily checked on the Blockchain
- Any asset can be sold/bought/given away easily on the Blockchain and this can be done In-game via the Blockchain or Off-game
- Blockchain keeps track of the ownerships of items and currency in a secure manner and those can be used at any time in-game or off-game
- The uniqueness/value of an item is easily checked (number of available items of a certain type)
2.   Payment system
- Blockchain can be used as a payment system for the game (using ETH)
- The crypto currency goes directly to the game owner without any third-party fees for banks, credit card processors or other intermediaries
- Such transactions are written to the blockchain and cannot be changed, can be checked and exist on an independent system that does not have to be maintained by the game owner
- This can be tied to licensing and/or proof of ownerships for the players
3.   In-game items value
- In-game items, can be used outside the game too:
- applications,
- buy/sell/give-away/exchange
- social network apps
- In-game item can be a crypto-currency (token) too, which can be bought/sold…
4.   Cross-game functionalities
- Game assets, credits, currencies can be used in multiple games (cross game transfers)
- This can be used in game algorithms to improve playing experience in new games
5.   Player voting platform
- Players can vote via BC on game functionalities, flows, future etc. which empowers the players and can be an added incentive for them
